Two nature writers, two new books, one evening at the Garden Museum. JC Niala’s The New Eden mixes memoir, cultural analysis and natural history to celebrate city life and ask what we miss when we overlook the nature around us every day. Jenny Chamarette’s Q is for Garden follows their reconnection with nature through their allotment during a sudden illness, the pandemic and the climate crisis, weaving in the stories of queer gardeners like Derek Jarman and Vita Sackville-West.
